The Caianiello’s Best PhD Thesis Award is devoted to young scholars who have completed their PhD thesis within three-calendar years preceding the WIRN current meeting.

To be eligible for the competition the topic of the thesis must be among those presented in the current annual WIRN’s call for paper (Wirn 2025 for this call).

The application should include:

1. A PDF file of the thesis
2. An extended abstract
3. List of relevant publications associated to the thesis
4. Candidate’s CV

The nomination documents should be submitted in one ARCHIVE trough WETRANSFER to the PhD committee:

For the current award, the eligible theses should have been defended between the 6^th June 2023 and the 31^st of May 2025.

The deadline for the submissions is May 10, 2025

The 1^st and 2^nd prizes will be presented at the WIRN conference meeting and is accompanied by:

1. a free registration at WIRN meeting equivalent to 200 Euro including the social dinner
